SharpEye is a music OCR program. It can convert a scanned image of printed music (a TIFF or BMP file) into a MIDI or NIFF file. The result is displayed in a music notation editor which has tools for spotting and correcting any errors. It can deal with multiple staves per system, multiple voices per stave, and recognises most common musical symbols as well as lyrics. A more accurate and fully-featured version (SharpEye 2) is also available. |
