If you are having problems with piracy of your software, PirateStop may solve them. PirateStop is a software activation system that is similar to Windows XP activation. It binds your software to the customer's computer and allows it to run only on that computer, preventing piracy and unlicensed multiple installations of your product.

Activation is easy -- it normally takes just seconds -- and can be totally anonymous. The only information a customer is required to enter is the activation key that he or she received with your product. Other information such as the customer's name, company and email address is optional.

PirateStop is oriented mainly toward activation of software over the Internet, but it also includes a utility that makes it possible to accomplish activation via email.

As you might expect, PirateStop is protected by PirateStop: Its MakeCertificate utility must be activated before you can use it. PirateStop may be activated up to four times for each copy purchased. You can use these activations any way you wish -- on four different computers, or you can reserve some activations for when you might upgrade to a new computer.
