I have just released a new help desk program (yes, another one) that will allow you to use the increasing popular MySQL database as the backend and it provides a web interface utilizing PHP and HTML pages. The combination of MySQL and PHP is attractive to many organizations because many web hosts provide both as part of their services. In addition, organizations that want to have a help desk program on their LAN can now use a Linux based server to serve the web pages and the database, or one server for the database and another for the web pages.

This program, like most of my others, allows for recording, updating and reporting on not just user support requests, but also computer, peripheral and software inventory.

The windows application makes good use of "lookup tables" to speed data entry. Query, Report and Spreadsheet Wizards make getting data out as easy as was to put data in the program. Import existing data from .csv files.

The windows application includes a variety of colorful styles or themes. The web interface is also provided with a collection of styles, however, the downloaded version includes only one set of web themes. Registered users receive a CD with the additional web themes.

The web interface allows your users to create the own accounts and then submit requests for support and view their requests via browser. Online Demo Available!
