Quickly Create Help Files for Clarion Applications

DAS_QuickHelp, an easy-to-use utility template, allows you to quickly create Help files for Clarion applications. Simply load your APP into the Clarion environment and select the following menu items; Application, Template, Utility, DAS_QuickHelp -- then, let the Wizard lead the way (of course you can modify and adjust the defaults to suit your needs). Now, compile the project and you will have a comprehensive outline (in RTF format) for your Help file.

DAS_Quick Help extracts all the text that is found in the Comments, Descriptions and Message Tips in the DCT and the APP files. We encourage you to take full advantage of this feature. Place the exact text you want to appear in the Help file in the Comment tab of all files, fields and keys. You may also want to place the exact text you want as your topic headers and hyperlinks in the Description area of all Procedures inside your APP. Once each file, field, key and procedure has been completely commented and described, you are ready to run the DAS_QuickHelp Utility Template. Adjust the Tabs, Paragraph Bullets, Colors and Font Styles to build a comprehensive Help file, which complements your hard work in the APP.

And there is more -- DAS_QuickHelp allows you to import the RTF file into any word processor (i.e. MS Word, Word Perfect, WordPad, etc.), or any Help file editor/composer. Take advantage of the advanced features in these products to put that final touch on your RTF Help file -- save the file as an RTF and recompile it! Now your Help file is complete.
