Asteroid Miner is essentially a 2D scrolling shoot em up where you must mine the asteroids around you for precious metals to sell, in order to upgrade your ship with the latest weapons and equipment. To complete a level you need to earn a fixed amount of money, either from mining or bounty from destroying rival miners. Working against you is a small fleet of Rival mining ships equipped with a variety of weapons. You can mind your own business and mine the asteroids for money, or actively seek out the opposition and hunt them down for bounty payemnts.
