Larsen Commander is a powerful GUI File Manager and Command Processor that has a look and feel like the classic Norton Commander. The most notable difference is that the Larsen Commander is pure GUI but still has a built in command line and a scrollable console monitor. This new beta release has a lot of fixes and improvements.
Here you have some of them:
- * Support for a completely new internal text file viewer.
- * New and smart dynamic buffering algorithm for file copy and move operation, making the progress dialog display more accurate information independent of the bandwidth.
- * Internal CD and PUSHD command now also accepts foreward slashes in directory names. (Unix-style slashes.)
- * Typing a drive letter in the drive selection dialog now activates that drive directly, without waiting for you to press enter.
- * The loading of filename items into file panels is much, much quicker.
- * Copy with shift+F5 and rename with shift+F6 now works again.
- * EA-names in EA-editor no longer shown with a corrupt prefix character.
- * Fixed some strange behaviour when copying and moving directories.
