Using RSJ CD Writer you can write files and programs under OS/2 and Win95/98/NT to CDROM -- whether for backup, information filing or creation of multimedia titles.
The RSJ CD Writer file system offers you a whole variety of advantages compared with conventional mastering- programs:
- supports reading and writing of DVD's
- supports audio CD title queries and submissions via Internet (freedb)
- OS/2 version: Ogg/Vorbis audio file support (create Ogg/Vorbis files from Audio CDs, burn Audio CDs from Ogg/Vorbis files etc.)
- The CDs are being accessed in the same way as diskettes or fixed disks. This has the advantage that all OS/2 programs used to administer files -- like the OS/2 Workplace Shell or the Windows 95/NT Explorer -- can also be used with the CDs. So commands like COPY, XCOPY, LABEL or CHKDSK can be used CDs as well.
- With Windows 95/NT additional fixed disk space for temporary storage is not needed.
- Unattended operation, i.e. fully automatic operation, possible.
- The RSJ CD Writer for OS/2 file system is fully integrated into the Work Place Shell (WPS), so you can use standard WPS features to control the file system.
- During daily operation the CD-Recorder can be used like a normal CD-ROM drive.
- Can be used with all SCSI and IDE host adapters compatible with your operating system and CD-Recorder.
- With the RSJ CD Writer you can also process and create Multisession-CDs. Likewise, the program offers the ability to burn audio tracks onto CDs and the CDs can be "sealed", which provides write protection.
- RSJ CD Writer for Windows 95/NT features an API for external applications (write your own application using RSJ CD Writer functionality!).
- CD-RW's can be erased (in a CD-RW drive).
